Describe 1-2 games you would get groups of yrs 7 – 12 students to apply teamwork in a fun way.

A great activity for groups of students on an indoor treasure hunt or the preparation of a journey of discovery!
1) Escape Room Challenge:
Description:
Create a classroom-based escape room with puzzles and clues related to their subjects or general knowledge. Divide the students into small teams and give them a series of tasks they need to complete to “escape” the room. Each task requires collaboration and problem-solving. Objective: To enhance teamwork, communication, and critical thinking while making learning fun and interactive.

2) Human Knots:
Description:
Have the students stand in a circle and reach across to grab hands with two different people on opposite sides of the circle.
Their goal is to untangle themselves without letting go of each other’s hands.
Requires clear communication and cooperation.
Objective: To build trust and improve problem-solving skills in a lively and physical way.

Activity Plan: “The Great Debate”
Description: Debate competition where students were divided into teams to argue for or against a given topic. ie Treasures of Australia…
Each team had to research their position, prepare arguments, and present their case to the class.
Encourages teamwork, public speaking and critical thinking.
Objective:
To foster collaboration and enhance students’ abilities to construct and present arguments effectively.
